We are currently implementing the SVR 3 MW project at our production facility in Božkov.
Power balance services are a subset of ancillary services designed to ensure frequency and power stability in the transmission grid. These services operate on two levels: positive and negative. When there is an electricity surplus in the grid, ČEPS activates negative services to eliminate the excess.
Power balance services (SVR), historically known as "Ancillary Services," represent a service provided to the superior grid operator (ČEPS—the operator of the Czech transmission system). Through these services, the operator balances the production and consumption of electricity in the grid. Since electricity cannot be stored, the overall balance of production and consumption must be managed at every moment across all electricity traders who fail to meet their nominations (predefined production and consumption levels). This also includes addressing imbalances caused by unexpected outages or the ramping up of power sources or electricity consumers in the grid.
